ARC Assigned Debt Resolution

Asset Reconstruction Companies (ARC’s) are set up under SARFAESI Act 2002 with a focused approach to cater to Non-Performing Loans resolution. Under the process of assignment, ARCs procure Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) from the banks and financial institutions. The main objective of ARC is to acquire and rapidly liquidate NPAs. This enables the banks to get rid of their sticky advances and clean their books of accounts of the NPAs thereby allowing them to concentrate on the normal banking activities.

The ARCs are vested with the powers of management and recovery of dues from the NPA’s that the banks and financial institutions possess.
